Sorry guys, talked someone out of leaving yesterday (I'm not claiming success, but I did advocate sticking around), but have not had it up to the light on top of my helmet.

Let me know if/when you start talking about sensible things again. It's been fun.

I take two days away from the forum and it all starts going odd...

We need people with a variety of views!

SRD Hope you drop back in... Maybe we should have a forumers reconciliation ride? Could be a marker for last CC mag. Anth can buy the beer ;-)

Cycle ride sounds fun. While knowing someone usually makes it more fun to argue with them, I think we are less likely to flame someone etc if we can put a face to a name.

That said, I doubt any of you would want to go my pace -- between increasingly bad asthma, hay-fever which started yesterday, and carpal tunnel in my wrists, I'm cycling slower and slower every day....

    @Steveo - no I think I said I "almost" went sans lid ;p
@laidback - I would be up for a run, would be good to finally meet people
@SRD - we could put you in a trailer?

Don't worry, excuses and cop outs seem to be the order of the day on CCE rides.
Two Sundays ago we had something along the lines of -

Min : I'm not feeling too well, so I'll be dead slow (she wasn't (slow))
Arellcat : Got a sore leg, I'll be dead slow (she wasn't)
Kim: Don't have time for a ride, just here to say hello (he completed the ride then went for a pint)
CB: Time's a bit tight - need to be home by noon (got home after 12:30)

In fairness I don't think Laidback had any excuses up his sleeve.

Cool, can my excuse be "I just spent the weekend camping and fighting with swords and whatnot and have multiple bruises on my bruises"?

A lift on the tandem ? Got Cane Creek seatpost on it for comfort.

Well, you know how much I dislike being a passenger on a tandem, but it might be worth a try.

Yup. My engineer brother (who likes to salvage old bikes, lawnmowers, radios etc) likes it too.

We used a sledge much like the one described in Harrison Park, Arthur's seat etc this winter with very good results. (I would make the seat slats thinner than he shows).
