But I currently don't have an operational achilles tendon. It's getting in the way of my cycling somewhat, and has been for 5 weeks now.

Whereas I think I live closer and it's probably 15 minutes from my house... Read into that what you will (mind you, I'll be coming from work most likely, so it's about 25 minutes...).
I've got my skellington Foska top all ready for the night (as well as some weird-magic self-heating hot chocolate thing (which will probably taste vile) and a hip flash of whisky (a 19 year old Tullibardine from the Whisky Society no less...)

Anyone else make it. Not many photos, a rider had a sense of humor failure over my flash going off to the side. Couldn't be arsed with any aggro. Good course, more difficult to follow than 'ordinary' cross... Think I'm just going to head off now.

Ha ha Mr Cow that's a great photo of me my pal tony in the hi viz!!! Nice to see you there and a shame that some folks took it a bit too serious. I think a suit is the only way to dress when t comes to cyclo cross don't you know.....

The suit was a really nice touch.
I guess the flash could be off-putting, I was more just disappointed that it meant I wasn't going to get any shots of the outfits (you could never tell if the rider coming towards you was in fancy dress or not, given the high-powered lights pointing straight at you - it was a case of focussing on those lights and hoping!). Next time I really need to recce the course properly to organise myself. I just kinda turned up and went for it last night (had also had a stressful day at work and wasn't at my most sociable...).
The suit was a nice touch - feel free to nab the pic off Flickr :)

You still got some good shots though.I thought there would be a lot more fancy dress. Anyway I didn't come last....... nearly though 53rd...... my chain kept falling off etc etc etc!!

Hope it was good fun. I had a bit of a snag with a work doo that went on a bit and basically I'd have only caught the last 20 minutes so thought I'd just head to the pub instead.
