It didn't last, sadly. For three mornings in a row I was able to cycle along Buccleuch Street, past the Snax Cafe, using the bike lane. A rare treat.

This morning four white vans blocked the bike lane :-( I'll try contacting my councillors about it...

  2. Ah, clearly they messed up their rota and all thought they were down for blocking the lane on Thursday, leaving Monday to Wednesday clear of parked white vans. Someone's head will roll for that, can't have a bike lane without a white van parked in it, that'll just lead to anarchy!

    Four white vans?
If this weren't so serious, it sounds like an entry for "cycle lane bingo" (a variant of bull**** bingo). (Apologies for the swearing but that's what I know it as.)

I don't use the "Q"BC very often. I wonder if it is worth pushing for enforcement in a sort of "waste of hard-working taxpayers' money" line - what's the point of spending lots of money on this stuff if it can't be used due to illegal parking?

I saw a van being ticketed on the QBC this week, and also a truck about to tow someone away.

My 'usual suspects' video list is still ballooning though.
