At least it doesn't say "cyclists dismount"?

"At least it doesn't say "cyclists dismount" "

    True.

I can't decide if it's helpful in any way.

Presume it means don't continue cycling on the Easter Road pavement(?)

Due to the invariable presence of a parked car just to the north of the Easter Road exit I usually zigzag to the left onto Thorntreeside and emerge thence, whence emerging vehicles might be expected by oncoming ones.

"End of route" seems like one of the least unsatisfactory options here, but still infers that the you can't or shouldn't continue on the road.

    More reproachful I'd say.

The folk who habitially cycle up and down Easter Road on the pavement will probably not pay the sign much heed anyway. That also presumes people know what a carriageway is in the first place.

Are those flaming stupid chicanes still at that end of the path? I usually go up the 'zig zag' to Albion Place instead so haven't had to tackle the tank traps recently, just negotiate a stupidly misaligned toucan crossing at the other exit instead...

    Yes.

But apparently 'on the list' for sorting.

Local (cycling) councillor on the case so should be sooner rather than later.

Cllr. Munro also wants vegetation sorted -

Don't know what he thinks about that sign!
