With news this morning that a van hit Bradley's Wiggins, and that Shane Sutton, the GB cycling team head coach, has been injured in an accident, it may be time to raise the question of whether enough is being done to protect cyclists and pedestrians on the road. As you may know, this is something that has been raised by the Green MSP, Alison Johnstone.

Do you know of any cyclist or pedestrian who has been injured recently in Scotland and would be prepared to talk to me about it and be quoted in the *****? If you don't know anyone, can you suggest anyone who might?

    I can vouch for person.

PM me and I'll put you in touch.

Ps just cause custard has agreed to be interviewed doesn't mean we don't need the rest of you too, so don't be shy but drop a pm along if you'ld like to contribute.

I would do a written something, wouldn't want to be interviewed for TV.

My bump at the start of the year almost took me off my bike permanently, although I wasn't badly hurt, the "What might have happened" really screwed me up for a good while. And then seeing the aftermath of the Murrayfield incident after only just getting back on the bike didn't help one little bit.

I've just had a chat with the journalist about my three major incidents - one hit by a van and two offs on ice on the Innocent. I pointed out that it's all very well telling cyclists to get off the roads and onto cycle paths, but when the off-road paths are like skating rinks, what are you supposed to do? Go off-road and end up seriously injured on ice, go on the road and get squished by a Stonecraft van - excellent choice.

Yes, I'd be ok to talk about my accident back in April following Pedal on Parliament and all of the subsequent near misses I've had. PM me if my input is still needed.
