I suspect I caused great amusement for passers-by in Glasgow at half six this morning, when Glasgow's finest hauled me over (on blue lights, no less) for a stern word.

Can't really complain given I clearly rolled through a red light whilst turned left. I didn't present the excuses of 'but the road is deserted' and 'this junction takes ages for the lights to change', instead going for a collection of 'OK', 'sorry', and 'won't happen again'.

Escaped with a slapped wrist and a reminder to pay more attention to suspiciously parked white vans...

"reminder to pay more attention to suspiciously parked white vans"

They are safer than moving ones...

Perhaps they were waiting just for you.

I suppose I could storm into Strathclyde Police HQ and demand immediate cessation of the campaign targeting the recumbent population of Glasgow... :p

Was the road deserted, do those lights take ages to change and is that why you did it?
