  1. Had been mooted as a light-off morning, but I don't think anything was actually arrived at in the end. Anyway, I'm going to be at PY this Friday am if anyone else is sauntering by (tempted to ride the MTB in just for the hell of it/to bed in the spikes properly).

    Statutory reminder -

    For newcomers (ALL welcome) -

    AKA http://tinyurl.com/PY-Fri

    "Normally from 7.30 to 8.30 for most folk."

    Some people hang on past nine.

    Apparently there were quite a few 'new' people last time. So don't be put off by 'I won't know anyone'

    Can't make it, sorry (after I promised I would come and drink coffee...)

    :D

    To be honest I would and can do most mornings, I've quite often just gone on my own for the peace and quiet and coffee before the start of the day, so any date that anyone can make is good for me (and it's been ages since we've had the pleasure of your long-term company!).

    I need to be in work early on Friday but I could pop by for a very brief bun.

    Chdot - what, trust technology? I don't think so. I shall arrive by carrier pigeon.

    Cycle PC can't make it -

    "
    As luck would have it, I am dayshift and would have said yes, however I am doing a training course.

    Please pass on my apologies and assure everyone I am keen to attend, and am not avoiding you all.

    "
    Shame.

    We could have asked the 'fine motorists in ASLs' campaign is going.

    I shall get there early especially (I'm pretty certain I owe you a coffee from one of the last meetings anyway).

    Hmm, not sure I remember that but I'll pretend I do. ;-) I'll be waiting for it to open at 7.30 then.

  12. Ooh, actually, I think I repaid that debt a couple of PYs before... Hmmm, not sure myself now. Clearly I need a caffeine hit to kickstart my brain...

    For those who can't make this week, Sallyhinch will be in town on the morning of the 30th, and I'd like to propose a PY so we can all hang out. I probablywon't be there until sometime after 8 (possibly 9), and I've assured Sally that she doesn't need to be there at the break of dawn either, so for those who can stay, we're looking at a slightly later running morning.

    I'll post a separate thread closer to the day.

    Looks like I wont make this one after all. Too much gear to haul tomorrow morning to justify a biggish detour.
    Ho hum :-(

    Tragically I am on holiday at loch lomond so the delights of PY will have to wait.

    Am at the dentist alas. Too much Me Want Lolly when I was. Bairn.

    The 30th is possible. I am seeking clarification on whether it is a pre work breakfast meeting or a coffee morning for people not going in to work or not going into work until later on?

    Gembo, good call - I am long overdue a PY too - 30th could work as intending to be later to work that day.

    time to start a new thread!

  21. Surprisingly easy going on the ice-clawed tank this morning. Good coffee, good cakes, good chat, good company, what more could you want?

    Shimano v. Campagnolo v. SRAM without blows being exchanged;
    The Irish love of potatoes;
    Cycling Christmas cards;
    Black, blue and green saddleness;
    The desperate bike-part-weighing loneliness of temporarily Japan-induced bachelorhood...

    We're a pretty broad church really...
