Edit: Actually met office reckons it shouldn't be too bad here. Heavy rain not forecast till lunch time.

We've just had the base tannoy deliver an exciting 'batten down the hatches' brief for overnight and tomorrow.
Raises the interesting decision - lowracer for reduced wind resistance, or upright for flood water clearance.

An AMBER (Be Prepared) warning for heavy rain has been issued for the following areas during the early hours of Thursday and will sweep across parts of the country throughout the morning:
-much of Strathclyde
-Dumfries & Galloway
-Stirling
-Perth & Kinross
-Southern HighlandsEast coast, as usual, escapes the worst (doesn't always, but usually does).
