    @uberuce with the new floor and re-inforced subframe I'm sure it would take more than 40kg now......... famous last words!

    Nice link. I've ridden similar Bakfietsen in holland.

    That's a pretty fab restoration / improvement job you've done there. Still seems to be missing the flames down the side. And will you be getting the kids leather flying helmets / goggles to wear when they're riding in it?

    Use normal swimming goggles, perhaps set off with a snorkel or two.

    Yeah the flames may come in the future. I thought the wood look was a bit more classy you know? .. Been riding it around today as I had to drop a child in george street for a karaoke party. It really brings a smile to your face riding it through town. dropped the girl in george st at 4pm and headed up the mound to test it's hillworthyness, down george IV bridge through the meadows and up to bruntsfield tesco's. I did my shopping and was at the checkout at 4:21pm. I love it. The handling takes a bit of getting used to and it needs a new back tyre which I'll pick up in Amsterdam at christmas ( strange sized rear wheel) also could do with a steering damper spring but hey ho lets go !!!!
