A friend's recumbent trike was stolen from his tenement bike shed in Pilrig Heights last night. It's pretty distinctive. He has customised it with black reflective tape along most bars, it has a couple of lights on the front and one on the back, with pannier rack.

Please get in touch if you spot it - also advice about where he should circulate the news would be great too.

(Help - anyone - how do I turn the photo into a photo, not a link to a photo?)

  3. Right click on the image and click "copy image location" or something like that.

Then on here type [IMG ] and put the Copied location next, then [/IMG ] (no spaces after either of the IMGs). I'd have done it for you, but clicked the link and it didn't work :(

It's easy - but not 'simple'

Click on the photos when the are in the photo stream to go to the individual page

    Click on "share"

Select BBCode button and 500 width

    Paste into CCE

    Use first two lines

Three if you want to keep title

Four if you want to add your Flickr name

    Press "post"!

Suppose checking Gumtree and Ebay would be the most obvious suggestion....

I'm sure others might have more useful suggestions. I wish your freind luck in getting it back.

That's very distinctive, and not that easy to store any place. I hope they get it back. If I see any likely looking characters on something similar I'll be sure to pay attention and get details.

I've tweeted it. Can't imagine anyone would try to take this to a used bike shop, but Soul cycles has intercepted two stolen bikes that were on fb/twitter recently.

Unfortunately, with an unusual bike like this I think it's more likely they'll strip it for parts and flog those off: more anonymous. I hope your friend gets it back but you only have to look at GumBay to see myriad bike parts on sale: most no doubt legit, but some...?

    Hi All

Thanks for your speedy responses Liv posted this up on my behalf yesterday whilst I was waiting for my new username and password.

It was taken from the Pilrig area (No doubt its much further away by now)

Any help that anyone can offer is much appreciated

Please feel free to contact me directly on 07792501750 or Robert.sadler@hotmail.com

I've been scouring Ebay and Gumtree every few hours and e-mailed all the cycle stores (Including soulcyles) to see if it comes in to be adjusted to the rider Fair bit of work needed for that, also emailed cash converters around the city and will try the stolen bikes link just now.

Gutted that my trusty bat trike has been stolen

Thanks again in advance for any help/info

    Regards

    Robert

Good luck. Got a fair number of retweets of my link to this page on Twitter last night.
