CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 16years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.
Unfortunately, any non-cyclist who watches this can be excused for thinking we're all mental idiots who ride with no respect for any laws.

Sorry, I should make it clear - the opinion above is from watching the film, not the trailer. I mean, you can probably guess this from the trailer, but the film, especially the first 10 minutes, is really pretty terrible for giving cyclists a bad rep.
I was a cycle courier in the early 90's and it was EXACTLY like that clip..... uncanny!!
Also if he's riding fixed gear no brakes how come can hear his freewheel
Goddammit, Sally. Now that you've bullied me into blogging (she has a Chinese/Indian* burn that reduced me to tears, although with wrists as hairy as mine, she had a natural waxing advantage) I keep witholding posts because I reckoned they could make a piece instead.
*does anyone know what they call them in Native American placies and China?

Whereas with your average Holywood film which typically has motorists screeching around, driving the wrong way down streets, speeding through pedestrianised area and smashing into people left right and centre, that isn't even an issue.

No, it's not, unfortunately. Life ain't fair.
The one good thing about the film is it has Danny MacAskill doing his usual set of stunts in a "police car pound". It's nothing you've not seen before, mind you.
