May or may not be more temporary than Christmas trees -
Probably better than on the pavement.
Wouldn't matter so much if cycle lane was wider...
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Fairly certain there is a more recent thread on this but annual notification that the QBC is now being used for the sale of Christmas trees. Happy days
The cycle lane wasn't blocked when I went past the other day, if it (or the pavement) is blocked, fire an email off to Cllr Steve Burgess, he has previous form for getting this sorted.
Another thread on this is here: http://citycyclingedinburgh.info/bbpress/topic.php?id=15824
One of the threads on this was deleted because...
...you don't want to end up with a horse's head in your bed reasons
@nedd1e_h A Kelbie Kelpie?
Yes - I remember the reasons now, hadn't realised it was deleted.
I'll remember that Frenchy, there was a little bit of advertising board creep onto the edge of the road but it wasn't completely blocked.
