Anyone checked out the new 'Nordic Outdoor' shop on Bruntsfield place? I notice that they sell an 'outdoor kilt'

I love the idea of a merino wool sports bra, although the price tag's a bit steep.

The Aclima range is excellent arctic gear.

I'm a big fan of the unisex overalls, use them a lot.

    vital zipped drop seat !

@SRD & Min, £57! :-( Nice to know I'm not the only one who'd like a heated one though.

£195 for a wooly sweater? Don't think I'll be shopping there...

Hello midges, like my new kilt?

  8. They've had a shop in Granton for a good while now (at least 10 years I think). Definitely expensive stuff - but very very good quality.

Though I'm surprised - a Nordic country doing technical clothing? ;)

According to the cycle fashion police, apparently woolen garments are allowed, as long as it's not a technical cut specific for cycling. Other technical cuts are allowed (snowboarding, skiing, etc.) And technical fabrics are allowed, so long as they're not a technical cut.

The Granton shop is primarily a tents and tipis showroom, now that Bruntsfield branch has opened up to punt the clothing range.

Stopped in to check it out. Wanted to get mr SRD some warm gloves/mits for cold weather, and some woollen socks.

Turns out they don't stock mittens or gloves. And only one style of very thick hiking socks. Also don't have the sports bra in stock. Woollen under layers looked good, but way out of my league price-wise (more than twice what iPad this summer for my merio tops).
