Probably Princes Street (push on pavement at start!) then The Mound

or Castle + Johnstone Terraces.
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Ah never thought of pushing that little bit of Princes Street though that does take me perilously close to work where auto pilot may just kick in.
If i remember i'll go up Torphicen street it'll be a nice change.
I'll have a non descript black tee on and a bright white and shiny bike. Say hello to me as i'm rubbish at approaching people.
Bah, I forgot all about this (as usual!)
Ironic as actually I set off early to go to work because I had to pop into the supermarket for breakfast.
Epic fail! :(
I was there with Amy for a while before she cycled off to school.
Met cyclingmollie and chatted about the TT run.
Ged from EBC was handing out discounts. Saw lots of people I knew but couldn't stay too long.
In the absence of chdot I'll post a pic. People came and went a bit so busy enough.
They were queueing for the free maps BEFORE 8 am, actually I was in queue when bell went. Chatted to friendly Irish guy on Specialized Langster (single speed) on way in from Balerno. Also received Big Ged's 15% off. Was in Marmite but no one said hello. Would have developed a complex if it weren't for the freebies.
What time were you folks there about? I was only there for about 20 minutes about had to leave about twenty to 9.
Nearly managed to brake the smoothing machine the tyre was just skimming ŧhe ground as i was pedaling and there was this nice smell of burning rubber with my smoothie.
Gembo: "Was in Marmite but no one said hello." I did see a "My Mate" top. Was that you? Thanks for the advice about getting there early. I got in about 7.50am and was seventh in the queue for a free map. Also got a free bottle and musette (is that the word?). After that I spoke to someone whose name I've forgotten but who seemed to know all the councellors and name-dropped chdot. Then David and his daughter arrived. We really do need to find a way of identifying each other. I did see a feather on the bike path on my way in...
7.59 until 8.20
7.59 until 8.20 my marmite says Hate Jams on the back. Actually I like jam and hate marmite.
I spoke to the Tram man about all the roads dug up at Edinburgh Park shortly after they were re-laid. Lovely fella (but no freebies)
When i was looking for somewhere to dump the bike i walked towards the trams guy, he looked quite excited to have a punter. Had to disappoint him as i walked over to the co-op guy.
Steveo: "Nearly managed to brake the smoothing machine the tyre was just skimming ŧhe ground as i was pedaling and there was this nice smell of burning rubber with my smoothie. "
I thought it was a Rollapalooza.
first time in several years it has not been raining persistently, rather nice .
Rollapalooza?
lollapalooza was an indie american music festival
Whereas a Rollapalooza is roller racing, or more correctly turbo trainer racing.
