I'd say just bring the bike, the turbo might be a bit of a handicap going down mmw ;-)

Not sure if It's connected to the hailsoaking I got on Monday evening, but been stuck in bed with the shivers ever since. So must submit my apologies.

Aw, get well soon Kappers.

I'll make it in, so I can drop off a saddle, but it'll be a whistlestop - they've decided to host a multi-node vid conference at 9am, so muggins has to get it set up. Some notice would have been nice...

I'll be there for a 7.30 lights test with Smudge. I actually have a set of teeeeny keyring lights that I'd like to see in action for myself.

I'll try and make it :) Got a long day tomorrow though.

Well, I found the other inner tube and fixed it, so we will see... I should make it along, I hope.

Well, my teeeeny keyring lights will stop me from getting a fixed penalty notice, but if I got SMIDSY'd after dark using only them, I would be generous with the benefit of the doubt.
Alarmingly, my neighbour across the close has full size lights which are about the same brightness.

And I'm pleases to report that my uber-bright front light has been passed as cyclepath acceptable by a jury of my peers ;-) even better it was described as "eyecatching" B-)
Mind you, that was after I'd half blinded Fimm and Uberuce with Uberuce's own head torch :-o (sorry!)Posted 11 years ago # -
"Half blinded" is a bit of an exaggeration, I think, Smudge. We were just remarking that it was quite bright as a helmet light...

I was thinking of when I'd just put it on and then looking at you both accidentally shone it in your faces at close range, there was some serious flinching going on ;-)
Didn't mean to imply that it was unsuitable on the bike, just my use of it was a bit careless at first..Posted 11 years ago # -
I couldn't ask for a better demonstration of why it and other high powered lights are unsuitable as a head torch, nocturnal MTBing aside.
It lives on the handlebars, and another NiteRider light lives on the hat. It was easier to pop the badgerkiller there and thence onto your head than fiddle with the bike mount.

Nice to see most of you again. Sad that after changing to a non 'Friday' day, those who workFromHome on Fridays didn't show up... :0(

I picked up a loyalty card for PY this morning, need to buy 10 drinks before you get, what I presume is, the free one. I hope they're still running this at Christmas!

I generally buy 2 buns, so in 6 months time I might get a free bun? Or is it coffee only. I still can't get my tastebuds around their coffee, artisan roast or not.

I've been twice in the last week. My youngest likes the cardamom buns. The coffee's better than anything available in the M'burgh.

"those who workFromHome on Fridays didn't show up"
Not sure who this is aimed at but I for one am in the office five days this week.
