I'm planning on cycling there. If I can get out my scratcher soon enough, will take the long route round the "wrong" side of the Forth. I fancy a shot on NCN754 again.

NCN route, probably the same thing as the Cross guys need for racing!

Uberuce - just regular tyres for road cruising, nothing off road, 764 (not 754) is the nicest, smoothest, most beautiful stretch of tarmac known to man. Something like 65 miles max in total, breaking for a few hours at Bo'ness for the race (main event starts at 2PM). Culross would be a good lunchcake stop. Wind-assisted on the way home. Lights will be required.

On the condition you've been as lazy, boozy, foody and bike-adjacent as me over the Jinglemas break and therefore won't be hammering along, then the Croix and I are in.

I really should get round to giving that bike a self-consciously obscure and/or pop-culturally referential nickname like I have with all my others.

Worry not, Uber, too much cheese and stout was consumed by far.

Boof! That's probably a DIY 100k Audax or something. I was going to talk to DaveC about our 200k around Fife but the table was too damn big.

If you're heading to Culross along the wrong side of the Forth, you'll pass my house, if you fancy a cuppa.

I do like the round the forth route and the cafe in Culross above the art shop and the freshly made crisps from the van but alas I am in bed with the flu, shame or I would have asked to join the expedition
