I love it! I was going to build something similar for my sister, but more generic weather thing - that got the weather over wifi from the 'net. I couldn't figure out how to build the wifi stuff cheap enough; the raspberry pi etc are quite expensive still. You can get £5 transmistter/reciever pairs now that, with a £5 pic chip with usb at one end could bring the whole thing to £15 or so, but was pretty complicated... so this looks almost the solution (although the Nanode is still £30)... soon they'll be £5 and everything will be wified...

Thats very cool!
I suspect only hurricane strength winds would force my personal one to bus though.
