On the question of pollution in Glasgow, the government added: "A number of measures are being implemented to reduce air pollution in the city, including a commitment from Glasgow City Council to introduce and enforce Low Emission Zones at the Commonwealth Games venues in 2014."

Just when Games on??
Top 15 NO2 polluted streets here, with precise figures showing they all exceed EU limits. Plus top ten for particulate pollution (from diesel) - Salamander Street is there:

@gembo, I presume Main Street in Broxburn, which can get congested.
The St Johns and Queensferry Roads make it in there. Two of those "key strategic routes" that the council wants to keep as 40mph and "free-flowing traffic", aren't they?
