Came across this on Twitter - a 3rd Year Zoology project from Cardiff Uni mapping UK wildlife casualties - report via Twitter or Facebook. A bike is the ideal way to spot roadkill, unfortunately

On a related note, more parochial in its geography but less parochial in its implementation is the Wildlife Information Centre's Hedgehog Survey which I contribute to.

I remember driving back from Wooler a few years ago and being quite depressed by the amount of roadkill on the A697. Project Splatter, though? I don't suppose there is much point in prettifying the reference to collateral damage on our roads. A bike is also the ideal way for keeping nature the way nature intended it.

Sadly, I haven't seen even a dead hedgehog for a few years now. I do always check whenever I go over a cattlegrid thoug
