Cycling - the new shooting ?

    It's been widely acknowledged for a while that cycling is the new golf but does this cover story from this month's Scottish Field signal that it's influence is extending still further ?

    Nah, if cycling was the new shooting he'd have the mountainbike equivalent of a Holland and Holland bespoke shotgun.
    Unless I'm much mistaken, despite it having achingly trendy 29" wheels, what he has there is "just" a Koga X-29 Team, an off the shelf midrange(ish) bike... nothing wrong with it, but when aimed at people who have a Range Rover as their second car, it aint flash enough for bragging rights down the golf course/country club/school run/clay shooting ground!
