Has anyone else spotted the tent on Roseburn, as you head North it is located on the left just after the bridge that crosses above Tesco.

It seems that whoever is there is making an attempt to shield it from view.

What's it look like? A couple of weeks ago there was a guy sleeping in a curved green/camo tent in the no mans land round the back of our flat in Bellevue.

There was a long time camper resident in the old goods yard at Murrayfield Station, left quite a mess behind that was evident when chdot and I went exploring there.

As a Roseburn resident, ahl make a recce of the mystery tent, no been doon the NECW recently, so a guid excuse...

There are quite a few homeless types who sleep rough round ma bit, never any bother though.

That's been there since late 2011. I know this from my first attempt to find the NEPN. My internal monologue went:

This is a bit scuzzy. Muttergrumble, typical Edinburgh infrastructure. And I can't even see the path. Must be out of sight by those bushes...

Nah, this is just wasteland, this can't actually be it. I'll just push on a little bit to see if the path is even visible from here...

Hang on, is that a tent? And another one? And great big piles of jakey juice bottles that have plainly taken ages to build up, which would imply this is someone's territory?

Let's just imagine there's a Cyclist Dismount sign, only this time obey it, and then tiptoe out of here...

I usually head up the road adjacent to the path and get to and from the NECW via the lefthand path between the hooses, thats probably why ive never seen it,if its prior to there. I will have a guid scout roond there and report back.. will make the early finish the day a bit mair interesting before i get back tae base.

Hi Folks, i didnt get time yesterday tae recce the wee camp roond the back of mines, but i am just back from there the now, the waste ground IS navigable by bike, for the most part anyways, a wee bit of carrying mid way to get to the camp.
It seems a pretty well organised setup, recent evidence of a fire, fresh water being stored, seperate areas round the tent, washing hanging up etc, will go back for a few late night early morning recce's as well, but it looks occupied to me.... R :-)
