Decided to pop out to Glenkinchie by Pencaitland on Easter Monday - apparently quite a good tour there, and an interesting red brick Victorian building. Definitely a 'relaxed' ride, rather than anything serious - more like the Hidden Edinburgh tour a while back, as well as a wee East Lothian jaunt kappers, ruggers and chdotters had as well, I.e. stops for bricks and ancient walls and unknown paths.

This sounds like a very nice idea. I may well be up for this depending on plans of better half, if that's okay?
Hopefully the wind will have died down by then too.

Sounds good. When's easter Monday. Should one wear tweeds?

April fool's day this year.
Will they be open for tours that day?

Nothing online to suggest they're not open, but going to phone to make absolutely sure. £9 for the tour, with a snifter at the end (and I've got a couple do spaces in my whisky box...). Owned by the almighty Diageo, but still fancy seeing the buildings and so on. All very informal, so no need to sign up in advance!

The cinder path to pencaitland is nice but don't think skinny tyres like it
