Big diggers have arrived on the path this morning and appear to be doing some work on the perpetual big puddle under Granton/Wardie Road.
It's been a treacherous passage for a few months now.

Diggers had gone tonight. Looks like ongoing work with trench dug on south side of path. Path largely unaffected, may need dismount when men at work

Its looking good, a large trench has been dug on the south side and a soak away will be installed similar to the one on the Blackhall upper section, with gravel in the trench. The sludge will hopefully be washed away or removed by the digger. I'll tweet North Team about it.

    Lunchtime today:

A lot of sludge here and elsewhere, likely due to the tree mulching machine and it's 4x4 working along the route.

Yes looks like thay have been replacing and refitting large dia pipes. I guess they'll fit a drain and cover. Hope it doesn't get clogged too soon with dross falling down the embankment.
