Been approached by an Edinburgh based company -

We a road safety social marketing specialists (see http://www.goodeggsafety.com) and we work with various government organisations such as Road Safety Scotland, Road Safety GB, RoSPA, ACPOS, TRL, TFL and most local authorities and NHS boards across the UK.

The Family Cycling guide we are producing is for one of our London Borough partners and it is nearly at the stage of focus group testing.

We are looking for a selection of cyclists (5-10) of all ages to come in and look through the guide and give us feedback.

Dates are to be confirmed but it is most likely to be W\C 8th April. (Mon-Fri)
We usually hold focus groups from 5pm – 6pm. (1 hour)

The guide is aimed at all cyclists but is titled 'A guide to family cycling' and will cover all that is cycling from learning to cycle, staying safe, equipment, getting back to cycling and much more. Ideally a focus group would consist of all ages and levels of cycling ability.

I'd probably just cause a fight.

Couldn't people just read Cyclecraft or the CTC web page?

selection of cyclists (5-10) of all ages

This bit didn't scan for me - I concluded that they wanted to cover all ages between 5 and 10.

But, no, the group size is between five and ten...

    *blushes*

Just in case anyone else embarrasses themselves!

Thank you again for posting about our focus group. It has been a little while since we last contacted you. The guide has been going through some final tweaks but we are now ready to focus group test it.

It is planned for this Friday 5-6pm.

Although one of your followers did express initial interest I cannot seem to get in touch with him. We do have 3 participants already but I was wondering if you would be available/interested in attending.

It would be great to have someone attend that was so involved in the cycling community as you are.

Please let me know if this is of interest to you.

The guide is aimed at family cycling so parents and grandparents are of particular interest so if you do have anyone else in mind that would be great too.

We always aim to have 5-6 attendees.

Please do let me know asap (before 5:00 Wednesday) as we need to confirm in the next day or two.

One of your followers? What's so special about the cheesemakers?

Well they are blessed but obviously that doesn't just apply to cheese makers, any dairy workers are also blessed.

And I would think George Harrison was a wonderful person if Brian had been the only thing he gave to the world.

HandMade Films was formed by former Beatle George Harrison and business partner Denis O'Brien in 1978 to finance the Monty Python film Life of Brian. When the original financiers of Brian, EMI Films, pulled out the creators had to find other financing.[1] When asked why he wanted to finance the film, Harrison remarked that he wanted to see the film upon reading the script, to which Terry Jones commented, "that must be the most expensive movie ticket in history."[citation needed] Harrison, a friend and fan of the Pythons, mortgaged his home in order to finance the feature. The first film started under the company was 1981's Time Bandits.

They may have meant me, and it's no secret that I follow Chris(t)...

I'd been tardy in replying due to the schools' long weekend.

Blue stilton, bleurgh, never seen the attraction of eating cheese that's already gone off ;-)
It always strikes me that a great many "delicacies" must have been initially tried by people who had the choice of try it or starve....

It could be argued that all cheese is gone off milk.
