Bad news if you were hoping to do this as I was. According to their facebook page "Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to cancel SBS Sportive this year. It has been a very hard decision to make, however we would like to draw your attention to the Robert Millar Sportive on 22nd June.

Part of the route is similar to SBS Sportive in and around Loch Katrine and the organisers are offering a discounted entry to all new riders.

Please email david.lang5@ntlworld.com and goto: http://www.velosportive.org.uk/ for full details on the ride.

Thank you to all who registered, your entry will be refunded shortly."

I was really looking forward to this year's ride as I missed the inaugural one. I hope they will make it clear why they pulled the plug and whether it will be run again in the future.

What is the Scottish Bike show like? I once went to a Scottish Diveshow in Glasgow and there were 10 - 15 stands, compared to the usual 300+ in Birmingham NEC. Is it worth the trek across country? Would I be finished and seen everything after 30 mins? Suppose I could pop over to the Transport Museum afterwards.
