    But at least it resolves the question over whether the Meadows cycle path route is getting a £360k upgrade.

    Not even a mention of Edinburgh's first Festival of Cycling which will be held in June. *sigh*

    These marketing companies (I've worked with some in the past) are a bit of a nightmare.

    Their hands are tied every which way, there is very little good recruitment on the go and they generally miss the mark with most of their campaigns. They're less than incred-inburgh.

    But yeah, that Meadows upgrade is an important story.

    Kim - I noticed that Steve Cardownie was quoted in today's EEN as the Council's "festival's champion" - have you contacted him about Edfoc?

    @SRD I talked to Cllr Cardownie when I first started planning EdFoC. He was passed to David Wardrup and Shelagh Jackson of CEC's Culture and Sport dept. They have been working with me on the development of the Festival, and rummer has it, will be providing some funding, although I have yet to see any...

    As a sailor - Horizon Scanning was something that I did every 10 minutes to ensure that we weren't going to get run down by a tanker. Nothing to do with planning where we're going.

    We have pipeline planning. Requires more deep dives than horizon scanning.
