Why do newspapers insist on the word 'Craze'? Feels like we've stepped back into the 80s when they all went on about the BMX 'Craze' and of course nobody uses them now...ahem.

Cue craze-d comments underneath the story.
I'd really love a try of one of these. There's always Mr Pugsley on Patrol as well!

Yeah. What about conkers, clackers, skateboards, football stickers, yo-yos, Tamagotchis, Furbies, rubber bracelets, and internet memes?

Why do newspapers insist on the word 'Craze'?
Because journalists work to tight deadlines and are increasingly dependent on producing generic and cliche-ridden copy?

Anyone looking to have a wee shot on one of these could zip along to North Berwick campsite on the weekend of 28th/29th April where I'm sure you'd find more than one willing owner.
Alternatively, Dave at Laws Cycles rents them out should you with so go with a couple of friends for a decent spin.
My Fatbike will be getting a little annual maintenance in the next couple of weeks (I've been delaying it pending the last of the snow). After that, I'd be happy to let anyone have a shot on it.

Trawled through the mad if typical comments and was rewarded at the end by the suggestion that thisis the ideal bike for getting to Krispy Kreme (remember them?). Did like the surly when it was in The Bike Chain.

Conkers - outlawed in schools due to 'H&S'
Clackers - outlawed because they explode!
Skateboards - bizarrely not outlawed and still massive!
Football stickers - Remortgage the house to fully complete the Panini album.
Yo-yos - consigned to the great Christmas Cracker collection in the sky.
Tamagotchis - Batteries ran out.
Furbies - now iPad interactive (really, just why??!!). Rubber bracelets - cut the circulation to my wrist causing amputation.
Internet memes - errrmm,mmmmm,hmmmmm.Posted 11 years ago # -
Local tidal effects may be experienced in East Lothian this weekend as somewhere in excess of 40 fatbikes head along the coast from North Berwick to Aberlady Bay and back.
I have already warned the British Geological Survey in case they falsely report a 6.0 quake.

Here's a pugsley in Newfoundland. I'd love to do this trip.
