If anyone, like me, gets the English holidays then you might be interested in attending the KM Rally KM at the end of May. Attendance from Edinburgh has been lower in recent times so it would be good to see more going through for this excellent laidback weekend of cycling in superb cycling country.

I have no conection with this event other than as a satisfied customer, as they say. Did I mention the Sunday morning cakefest?

I daresay transport sharing could be arranged if required.

Crowriver has been before and may well endorse my opinion.

That's just down the road from me and I can confirm that the rural cycling around us is pretty good - it's almost all single track roads, very little traffic, and what there is generally pretty polite, plus wonderful scenery, rolling hills ... and pack a waterproof :-)

Blueth, you need to edit your post. You've got "http://" in the URL twice which means the webpage link won't load :-)

Blueth, now your colon needs replaced - should be http://www.ctcscotland.org.uk/km/ .

We went on holiday to D and G three years ago. The cycling is great. Quiet roads, loads of signed trails both on and off road. We stopped at Drumlanrig Castle on the way down. I'd say that's a must for anyone who likes the history of cycling.

    "now your colon needs replaced"

Can you get that done on the NHS?

Funnily enough Focus I had the full video journey on the NHS just recently.

It's amazing how far wrong a simple copy and paste can go. As I can't seem to edit then people are best to use the link provided by Cyclingmollie.

I'm now really hoping you're talking about CCE here..!

    Blueth, eerily topical then!

All that's happened is that you've copied the URL correctly but pasted it into the URL pop-up box with the existing "http://" still there. Easily done, I should know. In short, if the URL you copy already has "http://" in it, be sure to delete or paste over the one in the box. If your URL just starts "www", paste it after the "http://" in the box.

As for editing your original post, I was probably too late in warning you as I think it might not be possible after a reply has been posted. Either that or it's after a certain time has past. If it was the former, there wasn't much point in me posting to tell you you could edit it! LOL
Maybe you knew that, but just in case... :-)

If anyone's planning on attending this I've just been roped in to lead one of the rides so do come and say hello...

Actually I haven't, because I'm usually working Friday/kids to wrangle to and from various activities at the weekend. However I did propose a ride to celebrate KM's bicentenary last year, so that may have caused some confusion?

My fault Crowriver. From a mail you sent me I incorrectly thought you were somebody that you are not (which I realised from subsequent posts of yours on here).

None of which detracts from the KM as being a great weekend and (I assume) it's still not too late for folk to turn up this weekend.

Forecast looks miraculously good for the South West too - sunshine on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
