Last year you CCE-ers were absolutely essential to POP's amazing turnout. We're hoping that you'll do the same - or even more - this year.

Please could you get in touch with me by PM or Pop at hello {at} pedalonparliament.org and let us know where

    - you've already pot posters up?
    - where you could put them along your normal routes?
    - bike racks you have handlebar leafleted or that you could do?
    - events or shops that you could distribute leaflets at?
    - paths that you could chaulk with #POP2 etc
    - schools, nurseries, Unis, other places that need posters/leaflets

The posters are all available at http://pedalonparliament.org/resources/

I can provide some laminated ones if you contact me. We also have lots of A5 leaflets, with the manifesto on back.

okay. Lionfishy is doing east side of George square, which leaves me doing the west side, sainsbury's etc.

We should ask PY to support us again.

Has anyone leafleted any of the Earthy's? the drill hall?

Commie Pool, Craiglockhart, other pools/gyms I don't know about?

What about bike racks at Heriot Watt, Napier? Kings Buildings etc

    Schools?

I can take some leaflets to Livingston... and if I can borrow or aquire some suitable chalk (what would suitable chalk be?) I can do some chalking of paths when I go running at lunchtimes...

    That would be great Fimm!

You can buy a tub of sidewalk chalk for about £5 on amazon. I've saved the blue chalks out from one for POP.

Can supply some to those who will definitely use it. I also have some plastic holder things (I spent last April with skinned fingers).

"Sidewalk chalk"? Does it work on pavements?
    ;-)
    I'm very sorry, I couldn't resist...

    I'll drop you a PM.

I can take a spin past Heriot-Watt after work and see if there are POP2 posters around.

    Thanks arellcat

Fimm - sorry! That seemed to be amazon's search category, but I can now report that 'pavement chalk' works just fine too :)

SRD I was just being silly and doing the British thing of objecting to non-standard-British (but perfectly comprehensible) words. I would not take me too seriously. :-)

    You should have a PM.

I've got a volunteer to do (some of) Edinburgh park. Could the rest of you who work out that way get in touch to divvy it up and avoid duplication?

What about railway stations - anyone up for handlebar leafleting waverly? elsewhere?

I could do Haymarket, but IIRC last year there were plenty of people able to do there. However if you get no other volunteers...

I'm going to put poster(s) up in the bike shed I have access to at work - I don't how long it will last, and nearer the time, I'll leaflet the bikes

thanks eddie - that's excellent! let me know if you need any supplies, otherwise will assume you've been able to download and print your own.

Anyone up for some leafleting at markets? outdoor pursuits? MMW? NEPN?

My boss raised a quizzical eyebrow when he saw my printouts :) But I've got spares, which is good - the wind is taking them down...

I'll take some leaflets to the market on Saturday - but I tend to get there before most folk, and leave promptly to go cook my breakfast with what I've bought.

Feeling bad about being away for POP. Were can I get a few a5/a4 leaflets/posters for display?
(I'm based in Porty but work in Muirhouse.)

    Hi Riffian,

The EBC shop at Canonmills is probably the closest for you. They still have a big bundle of A5 flyers. The posters at PoP can be printed if you have a printer.

I'll also bring some laminated posters etc along to the PY coffee on Thursday. also handlebarflyers for those without printers.

If none of those work, we'll have a further think.

Is anyone doing Haymarket? If not, I'll do what I can on my way through this evening - but I'm not the best person as I don't pass through till about 6pm and I guess a lot of bikes will have gone by then.

I'll get Haymarket at lunchtime early next week but it's probably a different population at different times of day.

Did the Haymarket bike racks yesterday on my way home. Also chalked #POP2 on some paths in Livingston and wore my chalk out by too vigorous chalking :-( by the time I'd realised that a more gentle action was all that was needed, there wasn't much chalk left. Still, it was fun. Had a big fat fail on the Livingston North station bike racks as there were no bikes there at all. I'll have another go tomorrow... (on the big bike today).
