I question why taxis are needed in the station at all now that there are lifts, but in any case I hope this will go some way towards ameliorating the filthy toxic air these people create.

I'm also none too keen on how they treat people trying to cross the zebra crossing to Platforms 10/11 and I've had punishment passes cyling out the station, despite the 10mph limit (and going over that!)

It's a 5mph limit Kaputnik -- I hope you're not recklessly going more than double the speed limit.

Are these going to be physical barriers? What design, and can anybody find information about how cyclists will get past? (I ride in and out of the station every working day).

Bruce - I was probably doing closer to 15 and still got overtaken!

I use the other ramp to get in and out of Waverley these days: no taxis at all, just the odd random pedestrian. Nicely resurfaced too.

A new roundabout beneath North Bridge has also been mooted...

    Bad for cyclists

Although whether it is better or worse for cyclists that taxis turn around on the r'bout rather than doing a random U-turn any-old-where, I'm not sure.
