@wingpig I think so, but I'll bring it along and you can see what you think.

newbie folks - don't be put off by the mention of secret santa. you're by no means obliged to bring anything - unless you have something you want to recycle.

I have benefited in the past, so want to contribute this year.

Indeed, and don't worry about making it secret, as the thread above suggests it's generally anything but! :-)

I had been saving some bike-themed wrapping paper to use from the kids birthday presents to re-use, but it's definitely not big enough for the basket!

I'll be bringing random bits of paper and old badges.

    No wrapping involved.

I must try and remember this...
I don't think I have any unwanted oddments to bring (well we probably have, but they aren't mine to bring...)

I've got sone random crap "other mans treasure" I can bring along. Will be on the Fenix as need to check out the gear tweak I did yesterday. I'm off tomorrow morning and am planning a post py spin up to pencaitland and back. People welcome to join. Pace is fair to middling. Arm and leg warmers recommended.

Tentative for coming along. Weather dependent - if raining, I'm bailing out and staying at home to log into work earlier than I'd do if coming to PY.

No gifts to donate I'm afraid: little that Mr MeepMeep and I buy/do/have that is non-necessary. We're rather reactive since I'm at the Gyle for work most days and we have a car for times he can't cycle out to HG. If there, happy to plug in for coffee gifts though.

Right - my internet's back. Phew!

Not cycling, but anyone have a spare 2cm plastic washer that I could use to keep my shower from spraying water everywhere?

    Cheers.

Wingpig that looks like exactly the one I need. If it's spare, I'll gratefully trade a basket for it.

You're just not trying hard enough DaveC, you should cycle out to PY, have a cuppa then hop back on the bike for and be logged on at home by 9AM

Did someone say baskets? I have a basket - designed for handlebars, with associated bracket - that I'd dearly love to kick to flatness for hanging around my garage cluttering. Or give to someone.

"...for hanging around my garage cluttering"

Things that you can hang on a wall and put other things in shouldn't count as clutter.

Sorry to hear that Fimm, best wishes for a speedy recovery. Apologies to all those I failed to speak to this morning and hello again to those I did :-)
Oh and thanks Dave(?) for the shot of the recumbent trike, you need shorter legs though ;-)

    Get well soon, Fimm.

I think we'll have to instigate a convention where we all jumble up at 8.23 and increase the chances of speaking to everyone.

Trike. Want trike. Need eat more. But want trike more.

    Like speed dating?

Nice to see so many people there!

    'like speed dating?'

At formal hall/High Table at Oxford*, we used to all switch seats before pudding. not a bad custom.

*I was at a modern pg college and this was not as bad as it sounds. really.

Bit-swap worked fairly well. Now have some Sturmey sprockets to experiment with my gear inches in the new gear and you can never have enough cable end caps/terminators/nipples/ferrules and random bolts.

Thanks also to Chdot for the "secret weapon" from Dawes.
