    @laidback, is our Breaking Away film at Balerno Village Screen in the programme?

    @Gembo - yep - it's in as 'Braking Away'.
    Featuring some thrilling downhill footage I'm told!

    Oh that is not the name, Oscar winning Breaking Away with good road cycling footage and the strange Indy 200 track race. Steve Tesich won the 1980 best screenplay Oscar.

    Lovely wee film.

    Right. Got wee graphic of the original poster with scantily dressed cyclists - at least I hope it's correct film. (Carry On up the Galibier would have been a good 'post modern' movie to get? N'est pas?)

    @laidback, t shirt and shorts, minimalist kit yes. Lot of cinzano product placement

    A successful CCE social I think? Was lovely to talk to everyone I managed to talk to, anyway! (For me. Their mileage may vary.)

    @steveo was it you gave me the image of Magneto on a bike with a "one less car" sticker on the back of his helmet? (cloak billowing behind him, close-passing cars finding themselves mysteriously punted aside)

    No, I'd have never given that away :)

    Good to chat and put a few more faces to names.

    Disappointed that @Steveo didn't take me up on a lift home on the back of the tandem - the crank shorterners put him off. I guess we didn't find the sweet spot of number of beers where it would have seemed a good idea.

    Very good to meet CCErs old and new. Genial stuff and big thanks to @ragingbike for the tech gifts!

    I was supposed to remember a phrase from Iain McR to serve as a strap-line for the evening but sleep appears to have wiped it from my memory.

    Still agog at the notion of a Canadian book-burning.

    the crank shorterners put him off.

    That and total lack of coordination on my part! Should have taken it just the same, missed the last 2 had to walk back through Stenhouse from the 33.

    I'd like to echo the sentiments expressed above. I tried three new Barney's Beers and appreciated our communal chips and sauces. Thanks to Iain McR for the idea and to unhurt for the ProPaganda.

    Right, if anyone is interested in pre-PoP beers I will be in Summerhall on Friday evening

    If you have ordered a t-shirt and wish to pick it up in person, that might also be arranged, but you'd need to let us know so that Angela can drop the appropriate t-shirts off.
