is there any chance that someone who will be watching could watch my bag

    If I'm there, of course.

  2. Or, without four people in the car, it can live there while parked up :)

Dreading and at the same time really excited about this. I've never trained quite so hard for something that is only 1 hour. I am half assuming I'll fail and half assuming I'll be ok. Quite interesting. Frankly I'd be keen to see any advice anyone has on general cyclocross riding. literally anything. Like when should I push high power low cadence and when should I push high cadence? I understand that the best way to get is to get t the point of vommiting and remaining there, but not sure what the BEST way of riding a course is!

Wow, this sounds awesome, only heard about it last night from Murray at the Ventoux. How are people getting there and back? Anyone cycling?

I think Uberuce and Myself were planning on cycling back. I probably won't get out until about 7ish.

Mind if I join you for the cycle? The name's Colin, I usually only lurk on here so we may not have actually met.

I'm just trying to figure out how to convert the roadgoing fixed to cyclocross duties, but i'll be riding a cludge of a bike based on a pompetamine.

It may or may not be the plan to leave from the Ventoux as soon as the final Tour stage is done.

For anyone looking to ride out with company the usual suspects will be leaving the ventoux at 5.30 after the tour coverage finishes. Its about 20 miles and looks like this http://edinburgh.cyclestreets.net/journey/3002061/

    all welcome.

Ok, I'm getting a lift to the race, so will see you there, but will ride back with you all. Fixed-beige On One with hideous bright green flared drops, a brown saddle and being ridden by an unfit pie.

I'm trying to arrange a pass, I will be in the car if I do so i'll meet folk there.

  17. That was immense. And fun. And I'll be back for more.

Highlight was one spot on the course where I kinda figured the one-footed rear wheel skid pop-the-back-end-out dismount before a 180 turn to a set of hurdles was the way to go. And didn't fall doing it on any of the laps. MTB skillz FTW.

Proper report later (i.e. tomorrow), but despite being a backmarker really really enjoyed that.

  18. p.s. ARobComp went past me twice I think; retrodirect once (on fixed). Gutsy rides both!

That was a pretty darn nice evening. I am tempted to get a new freewheel and join in next time on wee blue floofy. Thanks to Kappers for 'aving me round for a cuppa and Tour watching, and to ruggtomcat for chumming us along to Aberdour.

Linky is at the bottom for the bigger versions.

Aye - that was absolutely brilliant. I was thoroughly let down by having the cornering technique of a learner driver giving their first 3 point turn a go but I think I know what I need to do to get considerably faster!

I should be able to get some photos from some friends of mine that were there. Look forward to seeing any more anyone took.

Great job from Ronde bunch apart from lack of food from 4:30-7!

    Retrodirect did ridiculously well!

I didn't get many pictures of you, ARobComp, since we hadn't been introduced. I'll take a closer look tonight and see what I can see.

  23. My FiL got a couple of decent-ish ones of you at the hurdles ARobComp - looking determined indeed. Planning on getting my shots online tonight.

That was great fun. i probably wouldn't have came if it wasn't for folk off here doing it too. Next time on a more appropriate bike I think.

Murray riding in his pants was brilliant and any bikerace with a whisky shortcut gets a big thumbs up.
