I sent tweet to Police, but no reply. Yet.

Edit - now reported to Police via online form. Not going to phone 101 and hold on for 10 mins at 15p per minute. I am too mean. Have told them location and hope they may collect! We shall see!

I think @IWRATS has had similar success.

Yup - have ghosted bikes to St Leonards before. Pannier last time.

Heard from Bike Works that a Babboe Carve e-cargo trike has been stolen. Wooden box with twin headlights low down. Yamaha mid-drive motor with discs on two front suspension wheels.
This is their tilting model and was meant to go in for service at TBW.
If you see a trike abandoned or being ridden with adult in box then report or pm.
(Not one sold by us as Babboe like Islabikes are free of dealer expense).

I saw a Curve being ridden (no passenger) 2 days ago, which is different to a Carve, I think

Yes... Curve is non tilt model and quite a bit cheaper.

Joe at Bike Works says trike is still missing. Being an e-trike it can only go so far before needing a charge. On bike tracking is worth having on such items - Electric Bike shop in Granton have fitted one on EdFoC UA.

@jules 878: Not going to phone 101 and hold on for 10 mins at 15p per minute. I am too mean.

"The 101 non-emergency number is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It costs a flat rate of 15p per call from both landline and mobile networks, no matter how long you are on the phone or what time of day it is."

    https://www.scotland.police.uk/contact-us/non-emergencies/

Should probably still be free, though, like 999 is. (Might take some of the non-urgent and just plain daft calls off the 999 service, in fact.)

Oh, but look - we only have to wait until April next year for it to be free: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48423791 (the article does refer to "the phone service in the UK" so that should include Scotland). Woo hoo. But why does it take a year to make it happen?

BTW, which online form did you use? There doesn't seem to be one on that non-emergencies page.

Police Scotland "contact us" form, at:

    https://www.scotland.police.uk/contact-us/contact-us-form

It's for non-emergencies and other non-urgent things. I've used it for reporting instances of bad driving once I'm home and at the computer.

A parent at JGPS pickup just had her bike stolen from (literally) behind her back this afternoon at middayish. It's a brown Specialised hard-tail - pic attached - just in case anyone sees it advertised or around.

It's a long shot but would she have been in an area covered by CCTV?

Good question - I'll find out thanks - possibly Black Ivy or EBC
