Bit of a debate kicking off over whether bike parking is really an issue or not. I am p.o.'d that they didn't cover POP. perhaps some of you might like to contribute too?

I stopped reading it some time ago, but yeah covering bike parking instead of POP is just another example of the London centric "news" machine which I've basically given up on. Not that the "regional" new is any better off course, the chipwrapper or the hootsman and of course the bbc football news daily at 1830. At least the BBC website isn't too bad.

In fairness to the Grauniad bike blog, they were going to cover POP but the journalist who was going to do it (Peter Walker) ended up on jury duty and I couldn't find a way of contacting them other than through him to see if someone else could do it. So a bit of a fail on my part this time

No, sally, I don't think you should take the blame for this. if there's no way to contact the bike blog, then they should fix it. They want the cachet of something cyclists will read, without putting any resources into it. it had long been seen 'as a london thing' and they have done nothing to change that. when it would have been easy for them to. It's lazy and sloppy, and not up to standards.

    I like the comment:

On the pavement, locked to the stiffening corpse of the OAP you just mowed through on a pedestrian crossing with the gold chain paid for with the savings from not paying Road Tax I presume?

Needless to say, CEC has it's priorities correct as ever by consulting on car parking in the city. Survey
