    Really quite nice.

So, why are so many people still riding about in full jackets, trousers etc?

Just saw a crowd of cyclists go down the canal kitted out like it was January.

No panniers to stash the mandatory yellow cycleborg jacket into?

It may have been sunny but it was freezing in Crammond this evening. Full jacket would've been the right idea!

@stiltskin: I was down Portobello Promenade at around 9pm and found it pleasantly warm oddly enough. Though the first little chill made itself known once the sun had been clouded over.

My commute buddy and I spot the same lady heading for SQ in long black trousers, purple rain jacket, black gloves, snood/buff and cycle helmet, daily. She never changes winter or summer. I do wonder how sweaty these people get in all those extra layers.

It has been quite chilly in the mornings - I have not felt overdressed in gloves at 7:30, but then I have been too hot in the afternoon. I did get the light jacket out today, which was the right decision. :o)

I'm in SS jerseys now with arm warmers which this morning only lasted the first five minutes - plus fingerless mitts.

    Summer at last!

    It is gorgeous.

I often see a cyclist on a Dawes Audax bike travelling on the road twixt Gilmerton and Dobbies. He (I think it is a he - difficult to see) is always wrapped up against the elements, with hi-vis jacket, hat below helmet, full gloves over trousers, whatever the time of year. Difficult to understand how he/she can make it up the hill to Gilmerton without passing out.
