Hogging the middle lane is my navigation method of choice for getting into central Glasgow on the M8.

@Cyclingmollie Given the frequent surging of traffic and exits on both sides of the motorway in cenrtal Glasgow, that is probably the safest way to behave.
As ever, common sense is required. Advanced driving instructors will tell you that driving predictably is the safest approach. The militants who swerve in and out to remain in the furthest left lane at all times are just as bad as middle laners.
