Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

“Assume everyone else is an idiot”
Sage advice I always try to follow. It won't avoid every situation, and it can detract from the fun of cycling at times, but it certainly prepares you better.
There are many reasons I wouldn't want to live or work in London, but the cycling tales I so often read or hear are towards the very top of the list.
I found, and still find, London is very easy to cycle in. The rush hour traffic barely moves. There are a lot more bikes than in Glasgow or Airdrie.
These days I don't bother carrying an AtoZ because I'm rarely in a hurry. If I had to find a specific street I might but generally I just go to the parks, museums and so on. It took me a couple of gos to find Freddie Mercury's house. I knew it was off Cromwell Rd, near Earl's Court. It wasn't that hard.
