Would Fife police be this good if she'd been a cyclist?

Are Fife police better than L&B, or would they not have bothered to investigate if the victim had been a cyclist?

"The dangerous driver tailgated the 43-year-old before overtaking her and almost forcing her off the road.

Officers said the man then "dabbed his brakes", causing the woman to brake and leaving her "extremely distressed"."

Would any cyclist even report this? Sounds like normal driving to me.

Well the lassie in Fife evidently did, it is the sort of thing which causes cyclist carry video cameras.

  6. Kim, reading between the lines I assumed that the lassie in Fife was driving a car?

Aye, they didn't mention her transport which means car.

The dabbing brakes bit would suggest that she was behind him? and far too close as she was distressed at his brake dabbing. BUT It doesn't excuse the behavior of the tailgating driver and if you experience bad driving whilst in your bike you should report it especially if it leaves you feeling distressed. The police will visit the driver.
There is no police conspiracy against cyclists. No matter what folks on this forum think. I've reported bad drivers that have distressed me and the police went and had a word with them. They didn't do anything else but sometimes a word is all it takes to make people think twice about doing it again.
