"Warning as police release footage of 'distracted' drivers"
A warning to cyclists maybe as I can't see drivers changing behaviour soon.
"69% of drivers admit to putting others at risk"
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Previously*, I enjoyed the luxury of having a corner office and a large window to look out of. When business was slow I'd often spend an embarrassingly long time looking out the window observing the behaviour of motorists down below.
Mostly mobile phones. 10% of car drivers would have on in their lap, hand, craftily texting away. Taxi drivers like to write out some sort of log sheet while driving in slow traffic. I've seen a few people read a newspaper. One guy using a laptop. And a few people with tablets.
Professional drivers seem to be the best. Middle-aged men are good too. Younger drivers have a tendency to be texting etc.
*My employer eventually decided that the office was overstaffed and my position became redundant. While the position itself was poorly conceived by management, the office was far from overstaffed!
The most bizarre bit of driving I've ever seen was on the freeway from Chicago Airport. We were in the back of a taxi and traffic was moving fairly slowly. In the lane next to us there was a guy driving along whilst playing a trumpet. Yes, a trumpet.
My friend took a photo, will need to ask him for a copy.
