Anyone know if the off-road path network's been gritted?
LW, SMW and MMW in particular ?
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

South team says they've been gritted. No sign of it to my eyes. Or parent I asked who'd come opposite way to school drop-off.
Paths fairly clear and dry though. Patches of frost, which I took gingerly.
I saw a small gritter on the "northbound" footway of Dalkeith Road from Cameron Toll about 1745 last night.
That's no confirmation that they're doing the off-road paths, but the above section of footway has no houses or shops on it, so wouldn't have been part of the "usual" gritting - pedestrians being more likely to use the other footway on that stretch.

Small gritter transit van on the NEPN last night about 7pm. Was in good nick this morning I thought.
The waters of leith path had been gritted last night when I was riding it about 5:00 - 5:30pm
A lot of frost on the Craigleith-Drylaw-D Mains path at lunchtime. No sign of gritting or salting. I came back on the road.
No way Leamington Walk or the western half of NMW or the southern bit of MMW had been done, not even using the "dump a pile of salt at the foot of LW and hope for the best" technique employed last year. Holyrood Park path also not done this morning.
No gritting on the Hutchison Crossway path or any of the Broomhouse Path. Still fairly white with frost even at 11AM as I was heading in to work after being at GP.
Nothing between Russell Road and Craigleith this afternoon, 4pm. Conditions fine at the time though.
Wasn't put today but Monday night cycling home on goldenacre path and then at five ways to nepn I could easily see the salt and grit on the path.
I passed the wee van gritting the Ferry Road path this morning...
