The motoring group's survey of 19,000 members suggested nearly a quarter did not know it was illegal to use a mobile phone while out with a learner driver.

Nearly one in ten respondents were unaware falling asleep was not allowed.

Sadly it did surprise me at all, far to few people take driving as seriously as they should.

hi all, as a professional road user ,HGV, the lack of knowledge amonst road users doesnt surprise me, it just makes every day another adventure ! Also, being in control of vehicle being driven by a learner means you cant get p****d and expect them to drive home ! Question I asked my HGV driving instructor, if he is technically in control of the vehicle, does he get the speeding fine and points etc if the student is travelling too fast past a camera ?
2 wheels or 18, take it easy !
