I cycled up to St Andrew Sq yesterday to see the thing that whirls people around. (It wasn't working)

Leaving St Andrew Sq via St Andrew Street, I carefully crossed the tramlines - or, so I thought, because my back wheel got stuck between them.

Fortunately, there was no traffic behind me (I have no idea what the traffic rules are around there at the moment) so I had time to dismount and pull my bike out.

But the lesson was clear: the tramlines are a perfect fit for my tyres.

And that might not be a problem on a road with no traffic, but it could be a fatal problem if I was cycling along the tram route during rush hour.

I remember my first time :P I negotiate tram lines by first turning in the opposite direction of the tram lines and then turning sharply onto them, in a similar way to how a long vehicle turns a tight corner but I guess for different reasons.
