AA president Edmund King said: "We can't stop the march of technology but we need to halt the 'iPod pedestrian, cycle and driver zombies'. Whether on two feet, two wheels or four, too many people are suffering from so-called 'iPod oblivion'.

Good idea, lets remove all entertainment systems from motor vehicle to avoid the risk of driver zombies, that is where the real risk is.

I'd love some music to accompany my ride but wouldn't ever go down the hedphones route cos that's just daft, so I settle for humming it in my head. Something nice, 70s and German with a motorik to it beat helps keep the pace up.

It's surprising how many blokes I see in the changing rooms at work tucking their headphones and ipods into their lycra. Never an MP3 playing device that's not made by "some fruit company", however.
