    "

A RECORD shop boss has been allowed to keep driving despite racking up 16 points on his licence because a ban would mean pulling his daughter out of private school.

    Hardly undue hardship, is it?

It should be a no brainer - public safety v the offender being inconvenienced

Sadly these days it is but the wrong way!

    Pleading exceptional hardship

Sending your child to a private school many many miles from your home and place of work is not really "exceptional hardship" now, is it.

By removing the need to pay a) the school fees and b) the motoring costs you might argue that a driving ban could actually help improve his financial position.

The EEN have missed a trick by not allowing comments

If you can't do the time don't do the crime.

If he was so worried then you might have thought he would stick to the speedlimit rather than risk a driving ban...

Why have EEN blocked comments on this? Surely he deserves a roasting from the trolls.
