'Missed out the words "in Dundee"'

ADMIN EDIT it quick, before everyone sees it and rejoices, only to be crushed with disappointment after they click.

Pity there will only be two, operating in a fixed location. Horse-mounted taxi marshals would be great, especially if they could train the horses to tap on the cabs' bonnets with their hooves to get the drivers' attention.

Our horse once tapped rather firmly on the door of a car whose driver thought it was a good idea to speed past a child riding a horse on a single track road. It definitely got his attention. Our horse was a proper badass though. I am not sure there are many cast in his mould.

Dundee has taken real steps forward in making the city centre a pleasant and vibrant place. The most obvious way they've done this is by banishing cars to the margins and giving people priority.

They've also levelled almost all the crappy 60s and 70s stuff that separated the centre from the waterfront and plan to replace this with a new green square.

Pedestrian underpasses and overhead walkways have all been removed and replaced by street-level crossings. It's good to see a council with a vision that's committed to pushing this forward. It's a long term plan too - they're still continuing with work they started in the late 80s!

    Too late! Crushing disappointment indeed.

Should probably send this in to the EEN, so they and their resident trolls might speculate on how long it is until this madness infects Edinburgh as well, and destroys the livelihoods of the completely law abiding taxi drivers who don't NEED this sort of thing anyway etc.
