It's time for another specific bit of infrastructure news for those in the West of Edinburgh...
There is currently roadworks at the junction of Corstorphine Bank Drive and Templeland Road.
It looks like they are reducing the radius of the corners to slow down the traffic - it is used as a rat run to avoid the traffic on St John's Road and Drumbrae, so will be welcomed to slow down traffic.
We'll see how successful it is once they have finished it.
Now if they were really wanting to make a change to safer active travel here, they would also complete the dotted green line on chdot's first map.
Wouldn't take much - changing the pelican crossing over Drumbrae (with associated TROs for the short bit of pavements) and remove the anti-disability barriers Here that prevent easy access to the cut through to Forrester's Road and mean that cyclists have to climb further up the hill and share the road with drivers using Hillview Terrace as a rat run.
I wonder if it was even considered...
