I was surprised to see it listed on the Bike Week events page, as I had a nagging thought that a previous WNBR for Edinburgh was cancelled on grounds of (lack of) decency. I suppose to use the torpedo would be cheating.
Reminds me of the World Clothed Bike Ride.

Well the 2008 one happened -
The police were happy to attend -
Since then there might have been 2 more.
One year was VERY wet and only a tiny number turned up, and I don't know if they bothered to ride anywhere.
Forecast for Sunday is overcast, not too hot, hardly any wind - sounds ideal...

I think one of the original ideas was to highlight 'vulnerability' - 'soft bodies'.
Obviously it's also to 'attract people to cycling'...
