Many of us will know that the highly sociable York Rally, latterly the York Cycle Show, didn't happen last year. Too expensive to get in, too expensive to insure, too many exhibitors—or not enough exhibitors, too stuck-in-a-rut, too old school, and certainly too much bad weather of late that saw campers flooded out.
There's a grassroots organisation that's planning to resurrect the York Rally for 2015, in a sort of leaner 'by the people, for the people' manner. Peter Eland of Velovision is one of the organising team and has suggested that the rally be a coming-together of all the cycling forums; perhaps a CCE contingent is an idea.
