As the title says, I'm after a 27.2 carbon seatpost for a roadbike I'm building up, also a slim road type saddle if anyone has stuff lying about and would like to exchange it/them for a some beer tokens :-)
Possible RV at PY on Friday...

Oh. Might have a saddle. Will try and remember to bring it to PY. Would appreciate beer tokens for it.

I have a saddle I inherited from Kaputnik which you could have but I'm pretty unlikely to get to PY anytime soon.

I have a saddle taken off Stepdoh's old commuter. It's white. It can be claimed for nothing at PY.

Let me have a rummage, I might have something decent by way of a road saddle taken off a bike when new and never used. Can swapsy on Friday.
Also got a 27.2 seatpost from same saddle, it's an Aluminium stock Cannondale one, not massively long though.

Wow, thanks chaps! With such a range of offers, black would be preferable please (though thanks to those who have offered other colours )
@Kappers, thank you again, I'm after buying something carbon though, I've found an alloy one here but I'd like to do a bit of bling(!)Posted 10 years ago # -
To explain a little more, I bought a sale frame from planet-x (for just under £50!) and am building it up as cheaply, and lightly as I can, currently still under £200 all in and just on 8kg by the bathroom scales, not too bad for an alloy frame and triple chainset :-) Hopefully a picture below to show what stage it's at just now...
https://www.flickr.com/photos/48806000@N02/14728375262/The saddle currently on it is a heavy old thing rescued from a racer many moons ago, so I think the build would look waaaaay better with something more skinny and modern (and black!). Seatpost is an unknown alloy one rescued from the big box of spare bits, it is fine, but some carbon bling would be pretty and might even save a few grams, and perhaps even add a little comfort (hah!)

I'm looking for the opposite of this. I've bought a silly Merckx single speed, and a Carradice saddle bag to go with it. The bars under the saddle are too close together (30mm instead of 45mm needed I think). Unfortunately it's not just a case of a new saddle, but possibly a new seat post. I tried fitting a spare seat post clamp, but it doesn't sit properly on top of the seat post.
Any tips or advice? I think the seat post needs to be 27.15mmPosted 10 years ago # -
"I think the seat post needs to be 27.15mm"
WOW such precision!
I think it's therefore likely to 27.2 - fortunately a relatively common size.
Most UK 531 bikes and also Ridgeback Scoot balance bikes!

@chdot cheers. I might be able to find a clamp that fits it, I've only tried one from an old MTB I have lying around. I might take a trip to the bike station, see if they have any lying around.
